Steel Coils – Overview

Steel coils are rolled steel sheets or strips that are wound into coils after the rolling process. The width of the material is greater than its thickness.

Depending on the production and coating process, steel coils are suitable for various industrial applications, ranging from further processing to structural uses.

Coated steel coils provide additional protection against corrosion and weathering and are commonly used where extended material durability is required.

Hot Rolled Steel Coils (HR)

Hot rolled steel coils are produced at high temperatures, making the material easy to form.
They are mainly used in applications where dimensional accuracy and surface quality are of secondary importance.

Cold Rolled Steel Coils (CR)

Cold rolled steel coils are rolled at room temperature below the recrystallization temperature.
This process results in higher dimensional accuracy and a smoother surface compared to hot rolled steel.

• Suitable for more precise industrial applications

Galvanized Steel Coils (GI / HDG)

Galvanized steel coils are produced using a hot-dip galvanizing process in which the steel is immersed in a zinc bath.
The zinc coating protects the material from corrosion and extends its service life in outdoor and industrial applications.

Galvannealed Steel Coils (GA)

Galvannealed steel coils are produced through hot-dip galvanizing followed by heat treatment.
This creates a zinc-iron alloy layer that results in a uniform, matte surface.

Aluzinc / Galvalume Steel Coils (AZ)

Aluzinc-coated steel coils feature an aluminum-zinc coating that provides enhanced corrosion resistance.

Zinc Magnesium Coated Steel Coils (ZM)

Zinc magnesium coated steel coils represent a modern advancement of traditional galvanizing.
